Setting up your Letterhead
In order to customize your equipment labels, begin by setting the dimensions of each label as your letterhead. Measure each individual label and enter them as the length and width of the letterhead. For example: If the sticker you are printing on is measured at 3 x 3 cm, ensure that the letterhead length and width is set to 3.

Customizing Labels in the Editor
Now that you've created the appropriate letterhead size, you can now edit the information within the label to your liking. Here how you can do that:
- Head to configuration > document templates > equipment slip document type.
- Within the editor, make sure that the right side menu in preview is set to the correct letterhead.
- Continue using the Rentman-provided template with the serial number module wrapped around the text box to include serialized equipment information OR
- Remove the serial number module from the template to generate the general equipment information only.
- Use variables and other options within the editor to customize the equipment tag to your liking.
- Test generate equipment slips from your database to see how they turn out.
- Test print might also be required to ensure the sizing and positioning are correct.
Tip: Use the equipment slip template provided by Rentman. Duplicate the template multiple times and edit it to get a head start. No need to start from scratch!
Tips
Rather than using the Rentman-provided template, start with a blank equipment tag template and create the sections using table with a text box modules inside. It will make it easier to edit and position text.
Temporarily preview a larger letterhead to edit the label easier before toggling back to correct sizing.
FAQ
Only printers that print one label at a time are compatible. Sticker machines that print in sheets are not. Please consult this article on the correct printer before making your purchase!
Depending on the size of your letterhead, there may be too much information to fill within those dimensions. Consider reducing certain information or the size of the QR code.
