I worked with containers, how do I get the same functionality with the new equipment types?

Containers are set up, to allow flexibility and allow you to change the content on the fly, as required.

To set up your equipment to work like containers, simply take the following steps:

Create a Physical Serialized combination. By setting the combination’s stock calculation method to serialized, you will be able to track each individual flightcase and its content individually.

Working with empty flightcases

If you want to work with empty containers that you fill up as needed on a project by project basis, simply create a physical combination without default content. You can then select the combination item in the warehouse, similar to how you used containers in the past. For example, let us use an item called Flightcase 120x63x60, which is a physical combination, serialized. The default content tab is blank.

In the warehouse, I scan my Flightcase onto the project, specifically, the one designated with serial number 142. Once that is done, it appears in the lower part of the screen, under combinations(prepped).

Tapping the pencil icon or scanning the QR code, allows me to edit its content. Note that when editing the specific combination, its background is changed to purple, to highlight it.

I can add my content by scanning equipment into the combination item (or tapping the relevant + icon, next to each equipment i want to add).

When done, I can reseal my “Flightcase” combination item, by tapping the padlock icon.

Any content added this way, will be considered “extra content” in the system.

Note: You can also plan your former container onto a project. For example, you can plan your flight case in your project, next to your other equipment. You can then simply drag and drop equipment on top of your flightcase to add it in. Equipment that is added inside the flightcase will be indented to the right, in the list and have an L-shaped icon next to it, to highlight that it belongs to the flightcase above.

It is important to keep in mind that by doing this, you simply plan the equipment to be in the flightcase. When scanning the combination in the warehouse, the planned content does not actually move as part of the flightcase. That is because the content has not been added to the flightcase, until you do that manually. To add equipment to a flightcase, you would need to scan the content into the combination first.

Working with dedicated flight cases for specific equipment

If you want to have a dedicated flight case for specific equipment, like moving heads or mixers, simply add these items as default content. In this example, I have two moving heads and multiple cables as default content of a flightcase. The flightcase is a serialized physical combination, meaning that each serial number acts as an individual container for moving heads.

Now you can add the actual content to each flightcase and fill it up as needed, by scanning the relevant items into it, then seal it up and have it ready for deployment.
