Scenario: an item that is reserved for one of my combinations broke, so I marked it as defective. The repair has been created, but when I plan this combination in other projects there is no indication that there is any less stock than before. What do I do?
For the moment, you can solve this situation in three ways, depending on the state of your content’s “Reserved from Stock” toggle:
- If the item is reserved from stock, mark the combination as defective like you would have done with cases, pre-update. This way the availability will be updated correctly
- If the item is available outside the combination, just mark the item defective. Its availability is calculated on its own, so if there is a shortage because of the repair you will see that next time you go to plan your combination.
- You can manually remove the item from the actual content, and mark it as defective after. Then replace it with another item to make the combination complete again.
Rentman Tip: You can find the “Reserved from stock” toggle in the Default content tab of your combination, for each content item individually.
- Longer-term, we are working on a number of improvements to better support and reflect the real situation in your warehouse when combinations, or parts thereof, break or get lost. Keep your eye out for an update, by visiting our changelog regularly and subscribing to the newsletter.
