A temporary equipment item is an item you need for a particular job but do not have it in your inventory and have to subrent it from an external party for that specific project. The item will not be used again, and you do not want to clutter up your inventory with it, so you will add it as a temporary equipment item.

Temporary equipment items are useful to add a custom item for a specific project. A temporary item is not in your stock and will, therefore, be directly shown as a shortage.

Add a temporary equipment item

  1. Navigate to the Equipment tab of a project.
  2. Click on the More options more_vert button at the top of the planning grid and select 'Add temporary equipment'
  3. Configure the temporary equipment options.
  4. Click Save
  5. Select the equipment group it belongs to.

Save temporary equipment to your database

  1. Select the temporary equipment item you want to save.
  2. Click on the More options more_vert button next to the name of the item.
  3. Select 'Save equipment in database'
  4. Choose the root folder for the equipment item.
  5. Click Save
