Once a leave request is submitted, you can approve, decline, or cancel it if you have the correct user role permissions.
You can manage leave requests in three different places in Rentman.
There are three options for managing a leave request:
- Approve - the leave request is accepted, and (if applicable) the leave balance is updated accordingly. If the leave type blocks availability, the crew member will be marked unavailable for the requested time.
- Decline - the request is rejected, and no changes are made to the leave balance.
- Cancel - the request is withdrawn, either by the requester or a manager, and it will no longer be processed.
Manage leave requests from the Leave requests sub-module
- Navigate to the Leave requests sub-module.
- Select a pending request.
- (Optional) Click on menu_openDetails to see the details.
- (Optional) Under notes, click on + to add a note.
- Under Actions choose Approve, Decline or Cancel this request
To manage leave requests in bulk and without viewing details:
- Navigate to the Leave requests sub-module.
- Select one or multiple leave requests.
- Click on Approve or Decline or click on More options more_vert and select Cancel.
Manage leave requests from the Crew planner module
- Navigate to the account_circle Crew Planner module
- In the availability timeline, click on the magnifying glass and select the crew members for whom you want to manage a leave request.
Cannot see the availability timeline?Drag it open. - Find the leave request which is highlighted in the timeline with the color yellow.
- Right-click on the highlighted section and choose:
check Approve leave request
close Reject leave request
cancel Cancel leave request
Manage leave requests from the Crew members module
In the people Crew members module you can only view the leave requests in Schedule.
- Navigate to the people Crew members module and double-click on a crew member.
- The leave requests are highlighted in yellow under the crew member's schedule.
