You can easily send a note to your Rentman profile, by sending an email to accountname@rentmanclient.com. It's also possible to directly attach a note to a project, by including the project number (#13) in the subject of the email.
View received notes
-
Go to the Communication module and choose Notes received.
Attach a note to a project
You can also attach a note directly to a specific project by including the project number in the subject line of your email.
- Send an email to accountname@rentmanclient.com, and type the project number (#13) in the subject of the email, like this:
You can find the project number in the Number column in the Projectsmodule, or in the General tab of your opened project.
If you attach a note to a project, it will not appear in the Communication module. Instead, it will directly appear in the General tab of your project:
Disable project notes via Email
For improved security and control, you can now disable the ability to attach notes to projects via email.
- Go to the Configuration module → Integrations
- Here, you can turn off the option that allows emails containing project numbers to automatically create project notes.
Important notes
This setting is off by default for new accounts to help keep your account and communications more secure. When disabled:
- Emails sent to accountname@rentmanclient.com will no longer be attached to projects, even if a project number is included.
- Emails will still be received as general notes (unless otherwise configured).
When Should You Disable This?
Disabling project notes via email is recommended if:
- Your email address is shared or accessible by multiple people
- You want stricter control over what information is added to projects
- You want to reduce the risk of accidental or unauthorized project updates
