When you want to schedule a crew member for multiple days (for example, a week), it may seem easiest to create a single long function that covers all the days. However, this is not the correct approach.
Instead, you should create multiple separate functions of 8 hours each, one for each day. This ensures that time registration, breaks, and reporting are tracked accurately for every single workday. This means that if you want to schedule a crew member for a week, you need to add seven functions to your project.
Step 1. Create functions for multiple days
- Add a crew function to your project.
- Select the function that you want to schedule for multiple days.
- Click on COPY FUNCTIONS TO MULTIPLE DAYS
- Select if you would like to use a recurring pattern or select specific days.
- Save.
Note: When you copy functions to multiple days, they will
not automatically be placed in the correct
function groups
(if you have set those up). You need to move them manually.
Step 2. Plan your crew
Once you have set up the functions, you can start planning crew members on those functions. You can either plan crew members via the Crew planner or directly within a project.
