What’s the difference?
Training (for beginners)
Training is designed for teams that are new to Rentman or still in the early stages of implementation.
The goal is simple: help you understand how Rentman works and how to start using it efficiently.
Training focuses on:
- Understanding the Rentman interface and structure
- Learning core modules and basic workflows
- Setting up your own workspace correctly
- Gaining hands-on experience through practical exercises
Training sessions always include guided walkthroughs and (where possible) practical assignments using a training environment.
Group size:
- Ideal group size: up to 4 participants (per session)
- Larger groups are harder to coordinate due to the mix of exercises and Q&A
- Groups of 5–6 participants (per session) may be accepted in exceptional cases
- More than 6 participants is not supported (per session), as it negatively impacts the learning experience
Typical participants: new users, new hires, or teams starting fresh with Rentman.
Workflow Consultation (for experienced users)
Consultations are intended for customers who are already using Rentman and want to improve how they work.
Instead of explaining what buttons do, we look at how you’re using Rentman today and where things can be faster, cleaner, or less painful.
Consultations focus on:
- Optimizing existing workflows
- Improving efficiency and reducing manual work
- Deep dives into specific modules or use cases
- Best practices based on your business processes
Typical participants: experienced users, admins, or teams looking to refine and scale their setup.
Pricing and booking
- €150 per hour (or $150), for both training and consultation
- For training sessions, we ask for a minimum booking of 2 hours
- A price estimate is provided once goals and scope are clear
You request a session by selecting Training or Consultation in the request form.
If you need both, select the one that best matches your main goal and explain the rest in the description. We’ll take it from there.
How it works
- You submit a request via the form
- We review your goals and current setup
- A Rentman expert is assigned based on your needs
- We reach out for further clarification and potentially for a quick scoping call.
- The session is prepared and scheduled
- Training or consultation is delivered
For training, this can include practical exercises in a Rentman training environment or a copy of your account. As such, we recommend that each participant joins on a separate laptop, to follow along.
Available training topics
Training topics typically include:
- UI navigation and workspace layout
- The Configuration module
- Financial setup in Rentman
- Equipment database setup (including basic importing)
- Crew database setup (including basic importing)
- Stock, availability, and shortages
- Warehouse booking and logistics
- Dry hire projects
- Crew-only projects
- Rental projects (crew and equipment)
- Maintenance module
- Crew planner
- Financial overview in projects
- Document template editor
- Track worked hours and activities.
- Manage employee leave.
Each topic usually takes 1–3 hours, depending on complexity, exercises, and group size.
Scheduling, wait times and location
We aim to schedule sessions as quickly as possible, but availability depends on demand.
What to expect:
- Typical wait time: around 2 weeks
- During busy periods (e.g. start of the year), wait times may be longer
- Last‑minute or same‑week requests cannot be guaranteed
If we can accommodate a short-notice request, we will. We just won’t promise miracles.
Online vs on-location
We offer the following formats:
Online (default)
- Delivered via Zoom, Google Meets or Teams
- All participants can join from their own device
- Most flexible and fastest to schedule
On-location
- A Rentman expert visits your company
- Subject to availability and capacity limits
- Additional costs apply
- We reserve the right to refuse on-location requests during busy periods due to travel time and workload impact
At Rentman (Utrecht, NL)
- Your team visits our office
- Subject to availability
For on-location sessions, minimum durations apply:
- 4 hours (Netherlands)
- 8 hours (international)
