Organize with Tags

Tags are labels that you can use to group your projects, invoices, equipment, contacts, crew members, vehicles, tasks, repairs, and statistics. In this article, we provide examples and instructions.-

First, you add a tag to your item(s) in a module. Afterward, you can filter the shown items in a module by clicking on the label tags expand_more button and selecting your tag(s).

Year (2017, 2018)

Equipment
Properties (rainproof)

Contacts
Customer priority (high_priority, low_priority)
Customer region (west_midlands, east_midlands)
Details of the location (outdoor, indoor)

Crew members and functions
Skills (DJ, light_technician, sound_technician, truck_driver, forklift)

Vehicles
Weight class (truck, van, car)

Phase (preparation, at_location)

Urgency (urgent)

Category (revenue, costs)

Add a tag

1. In one of the modules, select the item(s) that you want to add a tag to.
2. Click on the More actions more_vert button.
3. Choose "Add tags".
4. Enter the tag (without spaces), and press enter.
   
Do not forget to press enter before you click Save. Otherwise, your tag will not be added.


5. Click  Save
    

Delete a tag 

1. In one of the modules, click in the top right of your screen on label tagsexpand_more.
2. Select the tag(s) by searching or choosing.

3. Click on the bin icon below the tags.

Filter by tag

When you've added a tag to an item, you can filter the shown items in a module by selecting your tag.

1. In one of the modules, click in the top right of your screen on label tagsexpand_more.
2. Select the tag(s) by searching or choosing.

3. Choose how Rentman should apply your selected tags. You can select one of the two options:  
   "One of the following": shows results with at least one of these tags.
   "All of the following": shows results that have all tags you selected. 
4. De-select the tags to show all items in the module again.

Find untagged equipment

Within the Equipment module, you can easily find equipment items without tags. Simply use a dedicated filter for this task. Here's how to do it:

1. Go to the categoryEquipment module.
2. Click on Filters and select Has no tags filter.
3. Click on Add.

This process allows you to identify untagged equipment quickly.

Please note that this functionality is exclusively available for equipment items within the  categoryEquipment module.
