Content Editable in Project

If you want to easily modify the content of your combinations within a project, you can adjust this in the Equipment module.

This feature is particularly useful when your Planned content differs from the Default content for a specific project.

How to use it

  1. Go to the category Equipment module and go to the Data tab.
  2. Locate "Content Editable in Project" and choose between Yes or No.
If 'Yes' is selected You can change the default content and adjust quantities within the project.
If 'No' is selected Equipment items cannot be added or removed from this combination during planning, and quantities cannot be adjusted.

Please note: This feature is only available for virtual combinations and serialized physical combinations. Content of bulk physical equipment cannot be edited. 

How to Bulk Edit Your Equipment

It is also possible to mark equipment as editable in projects in bulk, meaning multiple items at once.

Please keep in mind that bulk editing is only available for serialized physical combinations and virtual combinations.

Follow the steps below to see how to perform bulk edits for this feature in Rentman.

  1. Go to the category Equipment module.
  2. Select the items you would like to change. Click on the edit Edit button.
  3. Navigate to the "Content editable in project" option and change the values.
  4. Confirm.

FAQ

My combination is set to editable in the project (Yes), but I cannot adjust the quantity of an item or remove it from the combination in the project. Why?
This occurs because the equipment item is "Reserved from stock." Items reserved from stock cannot be removed from a combination, nor can their quantities be changed.
Learn more about the "Reserved from stock" feature here. To resolve this, simply select "Available outside of combination" for the equipment item.
