Custom crew and vehicle lists in Rentman allows you to tailor your crew management to your projects' specific needs and preferences. Custom crew and vehicle lists give you the option to create and organize crew members based on their unique requirements.

Using custom lists, you have the flexibility to handpick crew members or vehicles and group them in ways that make the most sense for your operations.

This personalization enables efficient planning and allocation of resources by putting you in control of selecting the team members who fit the job at hand, optimizing crew assignments for specific projects or tasks. Custom crew and vehicle lists are a valuable tool for enhancing the adaptability and versatility of resource management in the Rentman.

Getting started with the custom crew and vehicle lists

To create a custom crew or vehicle list:

1. Navigate to the account_circle Crew planner module and open the timeline.
2. Click on edit on top of the timeline.
3. Click on Create new list and choose between crew members and vehicles.
4. Type in a title and a short description.
5. Select crew members or vehicles. There are three options for selecting crew members for the custom list:
   
   Individual Selection

   Pick crew members or vehicles individually by typing at least three characters to search for and add specific members to the list.
   
   
   Folder Selection

   Opt to select an entire folder, and all crew members or vehicles from the chosen folder will be automatically added to the list.Any new crew members or vehicles added to the folder will be updated automatically in the list.
   
   Tag Selection

   Select one or multiple tags, and all crew members or vehicles with the applied tags will be automatically included in the list. You can select multiple tags.

Mastering custom crew and vehicle lists

Edit custom crew and vehicle list

You can edit your custom lists, but please note that custom crew and vehicle lists are shared across everyone in the workspace. Changes made to a custom list will be shown for everyone. 

To edit a custom crew or vehicle list:

1. Navigate to the "Manage lists" window by clicking on edit on top of the timeline.
2. Find the list you want to edit and click on edit to make adjustments.
3. Save

Switching between custom lists

You can effortlessly switch between lists by clicking on Option+1, Option+2, Option+3, etc., on a MacBook, and by clicking on Alt+1, Alt+2, Alt+3, etc., on other devices, depending on the number of custom lists you have.

Delete custom crew and vehicle lists

Kindly note that custom lists are shared across everyone in the workspace. Deleting a custom list removes it for everyone. To prevent this, consider hiding the list instead of deleting it.

To delete a custom list:

1. Navigate to the "Manage lists" window by clicking on edit on top of the timeline.
2. Click on delete and then select Delete
3. Save

Hide custom crew and vehicle lists and personalize your view

By hiding certain custom lists, you can personalize the view for your individual use. This way, everyone with access to the workspace can have a customizable view of lists.

To hide a list:

1. Navigate to the "Manage lists" window by clicking on on top of the timeline.
2. Drag the list to the "Hidden from me" section. You can make your lists visible again by dragging them to the "Visible to me" section.
