Resolving New Equipment Shortages After Project Shifts

Why am I getting these new shortages? 

Rentman has to recalculate the availability of your equipment because you shifted your project to a new date or time within the project's time schedule tab. Certain equipment may still have availability open while new shortages can also appear. 

How can I solve the shortages that just showed up?

Solving equipment shortages with alternatives

Solving equipment shortages with alternatives can be done by setting an alternative to an equipment in the database. Simply select the alternative you want to replace in the solve shortages page when planning your equipment. 

Solving equipment shortages with subrentals (External or Internal)

Solving equipment shortages with subrentals (External or Internal) is another way to resolve your equipment availability issue. Your stock is increased for the period of the subrental so that your equipment shortages can be solved. 

Solving equipment shortages with transfer projects

Solving equipment shortages with transfer projects is used to resolve shortages by transferring equipment from one stock location to another.
Note: You can use transfer projects if you have Multiple Equipment Locations set up with Additional Warehouse Additional warehouse

Solving equipment shortages by manually allocating equipment to specific projects is a way to ensure you give equipment stock priority to the project you want.
