  • Updated the ‘Messages’ module permissions, so all users receive and view notifications if an email sent fails to be delivered, regardless of access to the module. Additionally, introduced new user role permissions to view own or all messages and control access to incoming notes.

Bug fixes

  • Fixed a bug where users with view-only permissions in the contact module were unable to add or remove contacts within a project.
  • There was an issue where changes to a project, such as status updates, time entries, and other modifications, were not appearing in the project's ‘History log’. This works as expected now.
  • Fixed an issue where fully booked combinations and their planned content were incorrectly displayed in both the "Planning" and "Combinations" sections in document templates.
  • Resolved an issue where equipment marked as editable in a project within an internal subrental was incorrectly allowing users to add or remove items from a locked combination.
  • Resolved a bug where the "Display open functions" setting overruled the "Only show crew functions" option in the document template for the crew planning module.

  • Resolved an issue preventing users from booking certain equipment after scanning, resulting in the error message "Quantity is unavailable" for specific combinations.
  • Fixed an issue where stock mutations were linked to incorrect equipment, causing mismatched equipment associations and inaccurate stock levels.
  • Fixed an issue causing the matching modal to freeze when adding bulk combinations in the ‘Warehouse’ module. The flow now runs smoothly.
  • Fixed a bug that caused hours from shifts marked as “Available for scheduling on other functions” to incorrectly inflate crew statistics.
  • The inability to add project notes visible in the warehouse for those without ‘Warehouse' module permissions has been fixed. Now, users can add project notes if they have permission to add notes to items they cannot edit.
  • There was an issue where the split subproject option did not disable crew functions from appearing in the planner, which has been fixed to ensure that financial subprojects no longer include crew functions from the original project.
  • Resolved an issue with the "Assigned to" filter in the ‘Tasks’ module, enabling the selection of specific crew members for filtering after choosing "Assigned to."

  • Fixed a bug with the packing slip for combinations that displayed unplanned subprojects despite the setting to show only items in 'Planning.' It now correctly displays only planned items.

  • Resolved a permissions issue where some users were able to set availability for others despite not having the required user role permissions.
  • Fixed an issue where custom cost rates for planned crew members were not being saved and reverted to the default rate in the ‘Crew scheduling’ tab of a project.

  • Fixed an issue during equipment import where item type mapping failed, incorrectly linking fields to the same item type.

  • There was a bug preventing switching between workspaces. This has been fixed and it is now possible to switch workspaces again.
  • An issue was fixed that caused incorrect stock mutations when booking serialized physical combinations on Transfer projects outside the planning period.

  • Resolved an issue where workspaces without the ‘Quoting and Invoicing’ add-on had inconsistent behavior in the 'manage subprojects' module regarding the "Show in Financials" option.
  • Fixed an issue where some customers received error messages indicating missing information when uploading their DATEV export file, even though the relevant fields were empty in both old and new files.

  • Previously, changing shift times via the edit modal did not update the planned resources accordingly. Now, when times or dates are changed through the edit modal, the planned resources move along with the shift as expected.
  • Resolved an issue where filtering by the "Color type extra input field" did not return the correct number of results. Now, the filter correctly displays all contacts with the specified color.
  • Fixed an issue where default project statuses were inconsistently translated in the document template editor when switching languages, while custom statuses remained unaffected.
  • Restored the "Location in warehouse" filter in the ‘Equipment’ module that was previously missing.
  • Fixed an issue where variables added to the filename in document templates for subrent slips did not work when generating the document initially, requiring regeneration and clearing the entry field again to function correctly.
  • Fixed issue where error messages displayed in Dutch instead of English when using CMD + S or CTRL + S shortcut keys, despite workspace language being set to English.
  • Resolved an issue where the "Book Everything" button was incorrectly disabled when only serialized equipment was planned for the project.

Improvements

  • Now, when duplicating a project, a preview of the new project will be displayed.
  • It is now possible to flag special days such as public holidays or busy days in the ‘Configuration’ module. During those days, a warning will appear in ‘My Schedule’, ‘Crew planner’ timeline, ‘Details’ sidebar of project, ‘Project’ timeline and timeline entries, Dashboard My Schedule widget.
  • Users can now hide workspaces from their workspaces overview.
  • In the warehouse list view, the status column now mentions the name of the status in the tooltip.
  • Subprojects now inherit the stock location of the main project upon creation, reducing the likelihood of errors.
  • The email sent to a task assignee now includes more detailed information about the task and a direct link to it.
  • You can now select or deselect all subprojects with a single click when generating invoices, eliminating the need to manually select each subproject.
  • Decimal rounding for sales tax has been improved when connecting QuickBooks tax rates.
  • You can now easily split a project into a financial subproject and a planning subproject.
  • It is now possible to set a residual value for depreciation of serial numbers
  • The periodic inspections tab has been removed for bulk items, as they cannot be inspected, to prevent confusion.
  • When downgrading your crew license, the updated text now clearly specifies which data users should remove themselves, preventing confusion between functions and scheduled crew.
  • The ‘Projects’ module now has timelines, and it is now possible to check the timelines of projects from the list.
  • When creating a new project from a template, tasks assigned to the account manager of the template will now be automatically assigned to the account manager of the new project, ensuring no tasks are missed.
  • Introducing a new hotkey (alt+t) that lets crew planners switch between vehicle and crew resources in the visual crew planner.
  • The function group collapse bar now displays the total number of planned functions within the ‘Activity’ module now displays the total planned time and total hours written for each project, similar to the ‘Time registration’ module.
  • Added bulk editing for travel time in the ‘Crew and transport’ tab of a project to reduce workload and streamline updates.
  • Phone numbers and email addresses of crew members are now selectable in the ‘Crew members’ module.

  • Enhanced UI with a dedicated button for the Import functionality, making it easier to find without navigating through the three-dot menu.
  • Improved ‘User roles’ overview in the ‘Configuration’ module with hover tooltips showing the number of users per role. Now, hover tooltips display the number of users per role and provide a direct link to the filtered view in the 'Crew members' module based on the selected role.
  • Added a search feature in Filter dropdowns for easier navigation.
  • Added option to maintain equipment list connectivity between projects, reducing manual adjustments.
  • Added permissions in the ‘Configuration module’ to control users' ability to edit their own roles and those of others, while removing the role selector in the ‘Crew Members’ module for non-power users.

  • Resolved an issue where crew members marked as available for other functions were incorrectly shown as unavailable in project planning.
  • The stock locations list inside an equipment item is now scrollable, preventing excessively long lists and making it easier to find remark fields.

  • Rentman is now available on Zapier, connecting you to over 7,000 apps for task automation, data syncing, and streamlined workflows.
  • Improved the bulk editing feature: Fields are no longer greyed out, making it clear that they can be edited. Plus, clicking on a field now automatically checks its checkbox for faster updates.
  • In the 'Configuration' module, you can now choose your desired migration speed to receive system updates sooner or later, giving you more control over when your account is updated.

  • Drag-and-drop functionality is now restored and fully operational for files in 'Tasks'.
  • Fixed a bug where crew rates remained attached to crew members after downgrading from ‘Crew Scheduling’ Pro to Standard, ensuring accurate cost calculations.

  • Resolved the issue where the "Confirm" button was unresponsive when attempting to transfer bulk items between warehouses.
  • Setup of email domain failed with an error related to domain name verification. You can now add domains without encountering this issue.
  • In the Crew and Transport Tab of the project, transport functions now accurately save distance mileage without rounding up/down after a browser refresh, ensuring that decimals are maintained as expected (e.g., 2.68 miles).
  • Fixed a bug where assigned filenames were not saved when regenerating a document or creating a new version, ensuring that the specified name is retained as expected.
  • Subprojects excluded from planning are no longer displayed in the search results of the Warehouse module in the app.
